Symposia

Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Meetings

Objective:
Grants for the hosting of symposia in the Nordic Region, possibly as satellite symposia in connection with large conferences, or grants for the invitation of leading international researchers for short-term sojourns with a research team combined with open lectures or the like. Grants are not available for holding courses.

The theme of the activity must be within endocrinology or experimental physiology. Each grant is normally in the order of DKK 100,000 or more.

It is possible to apply in 2011 for projects to take place in 2012 and 2013.

Grant capital:
Approx. DKK 300,000

Application form:
Five copies of the application for grants are to be submitted to the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The application must contain a justification for the proposal (no more than one page), a description of the programme with proposed date and budget, information on the team's own activities in the area and the significance of holding the event for own further research activity. Documentation must be included of key publication activity during the past two-three years (no more than two pages).

 

Deadline for applications:
Applications must be received by the Novo Nordisk Foundation no later than August 15, 2011.

Allocation meeting:
Mid-October 2011.

Committee:
The Committee comprises four members selected from among members of the Nordic Research Committee - one member from each Nordic country.
